To formulate administrative methods for funds of civil affair undertakings and financial regulations and rules for civil affairs, supervise the utilization of the funds, take charge of the estimates and final accounts, as well as daily management of civil affairs expenses and administrative expenses; to administer the state-owned assets and capital construction of the Ministry and directly affiliated institutions; to be responsible for the civil affairs statistics; to be responsible for the administration and coordination of ministerial affairs and logistics guarantee;

拟定民政事业费管理办法和民政财务规章制度，监督民政事业费使用，负责部机关及直属单位民政事业经费、机关行政经费的预决算和日常管理；管理部机关及直属单位的国有资产和基建工作。负责民政统计工作。负责部机关事务、后勤保障工作的管理与协调。
