>Pork from Mexico, US banned

 

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued a ban Monday on import of hog and pork products from Mexico and the US states of Texas, Kansas and California to prevent the swine flu from entering China. Shipments of hog and pork sent after the ban will be returned or destroyed, while those already on the way before the ban will be inspected for the H1N1 virus.

为防止猪流感疫情传入我国，质检总局27日发布通告，禁止从墨西哥和美国德克萨斯州、加利福尼亚州以及堪萨斯州输入猪及其产品。自通告发布日起启运的来自上述地区的产品一律退回或销毁，发布前启运的产品经猪流感检测合格后方可放行。

 

>Navy escort fleet returns

 

The first batch of China's naval fleet returned to Sanya, Hainan Tuesday morning, after completing a 4-month escort mission against pirates around Somali waters. The mission saw several landmarks in the history of the Chinese navy, said Rear Admiral Du Jingchen, commander of the fleet. It is the first time for the naval vessels, shipboard planes and Special Forces to combine together for a non-warfare mission. It is also the first time for the Chinese navy to cooperate with international navies for the same mission on the same waters.

 

海军首批护航编队凯旋

 

28日上午，我国赴索马里首批海军护航编队顺利返回海南三亚。据编队指挥员杜景臣少将称，在过去4个月的护航过程中，海军舰队开创了海军史上多项第一，如第一次组织水面舰艇、舰载机和特战队员多兵种跨洋执行非战事行动，以及第一次与多国海军在同一海域执行任务。

 

>China, US ink $10B deals

 

Chinese visiting firms led by the Ministry of Commerce Monday inked 32 business deals worth $10.6b with their US counterparts. The contracts involve electronics, science and technology, new energies and autos. The companies at the signing ceremony include China Mobile, Lenovo and Huawei from China and Microsoft, IMB, HP and Cisco from the US.

 

中美签署百亿美元大单

 

当地时间27日，商务部组织的赴美"采购团"与美国签署了32份商业合同，总价值达106亿美元。这些协议涵盖电子、科技、新能源和汽车等多个领域。双方签约公司包括中国移动、联想、华为、微软、IBM、惠普和思科等。
